For over 20 years, I have made numerous attempts to make use of fitness centers without much success. I usually stopped attending shortly after starting. I found that group yoga classes suited me better, but I was unable to establish a consistent routine. I would attend regularly for certain periods, then go through longer stretches where I stopped attending altogether. However, I have now been doing Vinijoga exercises daily, with very few exceptions, since I started last summer.

The reasons for my success in sticking with it are varied. A strong connection with the instructor and his professionalism has played a big role. The format of the practice has suited me well. Having both the guidance and the ability to practice at home instead of having to go somewhere else to do the exercises offers more flexibility than, for example, having to go out at specific times. The fact that the content of the exercises and the routine are tailored to my own needs and where I am at in my journey is something that is hard to provide in a group setting. The follow-up has also been very strong in terms of monitoring the practice and helping it develop. Considering what I’ve received, the price is also very reasonable.
